Of course, Colorado Springs has one of the strongest military presences in the nation, so travelers with military affiliations or interests may want to visit any of the forts, bases or the Air Force Academy.
Visitors with a taste for museums may want to tour the Colorado Springs Fine Art Center, the Pioneers Museum, the Outlaws and Lawmen Museum, the Cripple Creek District Museum, the Dinosaur Resource Center or the Ghost Town Museum.
The one place not to miss in Colorado Springs is the Broadmoor Hotel. If travelers have never touched a golf club and have an antipathy for those who have, they should still visit the Broadmoor, a world-class accommodation that is well worth touring. Golfers have three outstanding courses to choose from at the Broadmoor, though if they are flummoxed by having to choose, they may want to play all three courses.
